Who are our services for?
People who use the Service may have lost a baby or have experienced the death of a partner, parent, child, relation or colleague in many different circumstances. The death may have been caused by illness, accident, suicide, murder, war or natural causes.
How does it work?
If you feel you might benefit from counselling please get in touch with us. You will be offered an assessment appointment to talk about the bereavement you have experienced. Clients who do not progress to counselling are either referred on to other agencies, or the clients themselves decide that one to one counselling is not what they wanted at the time of assessment.
You provide a wonderful service, thank you so much.

How many sessions will I need?
Clients who do progress to counselling are initially offered 6 sessions on a weekly basis lasting for 50 minutes. Sometimes further counselling may be necessary, and this will be discussed and agreed between you and your counsellor.
When are the appointments?
Counselling appointments can be either morning, afternoon or evenings. Counselling usually takes place at the counselling rooms at SBCS. We also provide telephone sessions or online sessions if this is more convenient for you. It may be possible to arrange a home visit. This is discretionary depending upon the client’s circumstances.
